Holding: The surgeon treating plaintiff’s father for a genetically
transmissible disease that is always fatal unless timely checked
and treated, had the duty to advise that patient’s child and the
patient’s siblings that they were at risk for this disease and needed
to be routinely checked for its occurrence and timely treated should
the disease arise.
